Three Pete Dye courses, 63 holes

Casa de Campo's golf was designed by Pete Dye and is widely counted among the best in the Caribbean. Resort guests play 63 holes across three courses, and each one asks something different of your game.

  • Teeth of the Dog: the signature course, opened in 1971, with seven holes along the Caribbean shoreline. Many golfers play it more than once.
  • Dye Fore: 27 holes set along cliffs roughly 300 feet above the Chavón River, a short drive from the main golf area.
  • The Links: an inland 18 with tree-lined fairways and water coming into play on several back-nine holes. A relaxed round or a warm-up day.
  • Golf Learning Center: a practice facility on 21 acres, opened in 2018, for warming up before you play.

How many days to plan

To play all three courses without rushing, most golfers plan at least four nights, with a second round at Teeth of the Dog. Because the airport is so close, your first afternoon is usable. A common rhythm is arrival and The Links on day one, Teeth of the Dog on day two, Dye Fore on day three and a final round at Teeth of the Dog before the flight home.

Flying a golf group

Group size and golf bags decide the aircraft. Baggage space varies by model, so tell us the number of bags when you inquire and we confirm capacity before you commit. See group charter.

  • Arrival timed to your first tee time, with the vehicle waiting on the ramp.
  • Clubs and luggage handled between the aircraft and the resort.
  • A return flight scheduled around your last round.
  • One itinerary and one point of contact for the whole group.

What to arrange with the resort

Tee times and on-course services are arranged directly with Casa de Campo. When you book, ask about caddies, club rentals, cart or shuttle transfers to Dye Fore and practice-facility access. We then time the flight to your first booking, so the aircraft, the vehicle and the tee sheet line up.

From where you are

From the New York area the flight is approximately 3.5 to 4 hours, and from Miami about two to two and a half hours. Guests from further away fly on larger aircraft. See New York to Casa de Campo, Miami to the Dominican Republic and the La Romana airport guide.

Stay and resort services

We arrange your flight and the ground coordination around it. Your stay and the resort's own services are arranged directly with Casa de Campo. Details on this page come from public sources and the resort's published materials, and are confirmed for your itinerary before you fly.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered plainly.

How many golf courses does Casa de Campo have?

Three Pete Dye courses with 63 holes for resort guests: Teeth of the Dog (18), Dye Fore (27) and The Links (18).

Which course should I play first at Casa de Campo?

Many guests start with The Links to settle in, then play Teeth of the Dog, the signature course, and Dye Fore. If you only have time for one round, most choose Teeth of the Dog.

How close is the airport to the courses?

La Romana International (LRM) is about ten minutes from Casa de Campo's main gate. See the airport guide.

Can golf bags fly on a private jet?

Yes. Baggage space varies by aircraft, so tell us the number of bags when you inquire and we confirm capacity for the aircraft you choose.

What jet do I need for eight golfers?

A super-midsize jet typically seats eight to ten, with baggage capacity depending on the model. For larger parties or extra luggage, a heavy jet or two aircraft may suit better. We confirm before you commit.

When is the best time of year to play golf at Casa de Campo?

The dry season, roughly December to April, is the most comfortable and the busiest. Summer is hotter and more humid, and the Atlantic hurricane season runs from June to November. Book early for holiday weeks.

Can I fly in and out on the same day for a round?

It is possible but rarely sensible. The flight takes roughly 3.5 to 4 hours each way from New York, so most golfers stay at least a night.

Do you book the tee times?

Tee times are arranged directly with Casa de Campo. We plan the flight and ground transport around them.
